Mariah Carey and Kristinia DeBarge made an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park on Thursday and spoke on their upcoming projects, music videos and even Michael Jackson.

Currently Mariah Carey is prepping to release her 12th studio album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” which has an expected release date of September 15, 2009.

Up and coming artist, Kristinia DeBarge, 19, the daughter of James DeBarge, who played a guest host on 106 & Park is preparing for the release of her debut album “Exposed” which is scheduled to release on Tuesday, July 28, 2009.

I’ve got some new things from Kristinia’s debut album Exposed! First, I have the high quality version of the album cover. I also have what is called a snipe for the album - which is just promotional material. Finally, I have the promotional photo used for the album cover. Enjoy!

Here is the sellsheet for Kristinia’s debut album; Exposed! It says that she has a Victoria’s Secret campaign that will launch this Monday! She will also be launching a Giant/Babyphat back-to-school campaign in September! It also includes a brand new promo photo! I think the picture/graphic on the sheet is the album cover but I’m not entirely sure. Also, the album has NOT been pushed back! July 28, 2009!

Edit: I have been told that the photo featured on the sellsheet is NOT the album cover.

“Goodbye” singer Kristinia DeBarge stopped by the J-14 offices to officially begin her summer internship with us.

Her first task was to interview the uber talented Justin Bieber, a YouTube superstar!

When a 12 year-old Kristinia DeBarge first revealed to her musician father that she too wanted to pursue music, he quickly put her claim to the test.

James DeBarge, the founding member and keyboardist of the chart-topping 80’s R&B family group, DeBarge, took his daughter into his studio that night to work on a duet. “We recorded ‘How I Feel Inside’ until 4 am,” says the younger DeBarge. “Before then, I didn’t know the pros and cons of a music career. When we finished he asked me if I still wanted to do it, and I immediately said yes.”

After recording the duet, the Kristinia DeBarge, now 19, participated in “American Juniors” in 2003, a spinoff of “American Idol,” where she performed “Reflections” by Christina Aguilera. Although she did not win, she made it to the final 20.

Still, DeBarge continued honing her skills and gaining exposure, mainly by traveling with her father on his stateside tours. It was on one of these treks that she met the person who would later give the singer her big break. “I met Kenny [Babyface Edmonds] when I was 14. From that day on, he has been developing me all the way to now,” she says about the singer/songwriter, who she’s been working with for the past five years.
